Most guests love the helicopter rides that circle the island with spectacular views of the Na Pali Coastline. You will have an amazing experience with our private tours. They love to hike but will take you anywhere on the island they think you would love too. Full of aloha, Kauai is a great place to have a private tour guide and connect with a local. You will get a great tour along with wonderful advice about what to see, do and enjoy around other parts of the island, including some great tips about where to eat and snorkel.

Your private sightseeing tour day starts with pickup or meeting your guide at a central location. We will provide transportation all across the island and will take you to the places you want to see. Our normal route is to guide visitors up into Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Parks. (State Park Fees are not included in the tour costs and are paid per person when we stop.) This area is filled with a lot of great things to see and you can easily miss what is important or spend too much time with others. Your private guide will make sure you see and do as much as you want during your stress-free exploration.

Throughout the day your guide will provide opportunities to stop for restrooms, a meal, snacks, and other tasty treats. Many of the stops are in areas of uneven and rough terrain so you should be able to navigate on your own throughout the day.

Combine your private tours with other great activities on the island of Kauai to have a truly memorable day. Our most popular option is to enjoy a helicopter ride. Start your or end your tour day with a helicopter ride from Lihue Heliport. For guests choosing a ½ Day tour option, you are able to add on zipline, mountain tubing, helicopter flight, or an ATV trip. You will meet your guide at one of those locations to start the sightseeing part of your day.

A private tour schedule can be adjusted based on some of the ideas you may have. Your guide will speak with you before the tour so you have an idea of what can be done based on your hotel and time of year.

11:00 AM – Multiple Overlook Stops In The Park
12:00 PM – Enter Kokee State Park & Stop For Lunch On Your Own

3:00 PM – Return To Waimea Town & Tour Nearby Historic Areas
4:30 PM – Return To Your Accommodations Near Lihue, Poipu

Time can be spent to go on hikes or other activities on your private tour.

Please cancel at least 7 days prior to your tour start day to ensure a full refund.

Parties of 6 people or more and those taking helicopter tours may be subject to additional cancellation fees or have cancellation time-frames that are longer than the 72-hour standard, especially luxury tours, and small group experiences. Those cancellation terms are subject to individual vendors, and time of year, and may have special information listed on the individual tour page. Please ask us about your specific cancellation tour policy if you are purchasing multiple tours.

Where Will We Meet Our Guide If We Do A ½ Day Private Tour With An Activity?

You will meet your private tour guide at the activity location, once the add-on activity is completed in the morning. The private guide will drive you from that location and return you there unless it is arranged to drop you back at your accommodation. Many guests on Kauai will have a rental car themselvesn

Our Accommodation Is In Princeville. Is Our Area Available For Pickup? Can We Do This Tour?

You can do this tour if you can meet us in a more central area like Kapaa. We can provide safe parking for the day while we tour you from there. If we provide pickup on the North Shore, that time will be included in your tour time. This will severely reduce what areas we can tour you to, places you really want to see.

What Are The Activities We Can Add To A Private Tour?

On our ½ day sightseeing option, you can choose to do a 45-50 minute helicopter ride, a 3-hour mountain tubing trip with lunch, a 2-Hour ATV tour, or a 3-hour zipline tour. On our full-day sightseeing option, you can add only the 45-50 minute helicopter ride.

Is All Transportation Provided On This Private Tour?

Transportation will be provided back to the pre-arranged location which could be your rental vehicle or back to your accommodation. Please provide that info at checkout so we can make proper arrangements and let you know if there is an additional service fee prior to final confirmation.
