This is a great area to explore with a private guide as there are a ton of stops you wont want to miss.

Big Island Circle Island Tour

For guests staying in Kona or Hilo, we recommend using your day to relax and let someone else do the driving. Circling the island is a full day of sitting back and enjoying the scenery go by. We love to show guests our beautiful islands and none is more impressive than the Big Island of Hawaii with itʻs raw nature, towering and active volcanoes, and vast open areas. You can see it all and more with a private guide who will drive you all around the island. Itʻs a full-day adventure and you are sure to love it.

Depending on where you are staying, you may not want to go all the way around Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea in one day. We can tour you around the Hilo or Kona side and get a more in-depth experience of that area. Visit multiple waterfalls, volcanoes, black sand beaches, and tropical farms from Hilo. Or explore the coffee farms, breweries, historic and cultural sites, warm beaches, and gorgeous lava fields overlooking the deep blue ocean from Kona.

Your guide will have some ideas or leave us a note during checkout about what is on your bucket list.

We will do the driving from hotel pickup to return. We will cover 100s of miles, making stops every 45 to 80 minutes with lots of time for breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner depending on when you would like to start your tour.

For guests who want to go stargazing, be sure to bring warm clothes to Hawaii. Itʻs cold up there at night!

This tour is available every day of the year. Certain locations are not open on certain days of the week, so please choose your day carefully. We aim to provide you with the best day on Big Island, so please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

You can choose where you would like to have lunch. If you plan to go around the island, we have many great places, including various food trucks and local restaurants. We can include a picnic lunch too to maximize your day or if you plan to go hiking!

Please dress for all weather. A light jacket and closed-toe shoes are recommended.

If you need to cancel your tour, please do so 72 hours prior to the tour starting for a full refund. If you are within 72 hours, there is no refund.

We can help arrange everything to make your day extra awesome. We will get you to and from the heliport at the right time so you can enjoy a full day of touring. Take an early morning or late afternoon flight for maximum exploration time.

We Are Staying On Another Island. Can You Arrange Flights?

Our specialty is one-day tours from island to island here in Hawaii. Our guides will pick you up in Maui or Oahu and bring you to the airport where you will board a comfortable flight over to Hilo. From there, you will have an incredibly full day tour exploring Hilo, volcanoes & more before going back to the airport for your return flight to Honolulu or Kahului.

Are Meals Included In The Private Tour?

Meals are an add-on option if you would like us to prearrange the meal options. We can set up a deli-style picnic lunch, farm-style meal, and drinks, restaurant visit, or something more special. Depending on the type of day you want, and where you want to visit, options may be limited.

Where Can We Go On Our Private Tour?

We can go anywhere we are commercially allowed to travel or have made prior arrangements. Our vehicles are made for cruising the roads so we will not be traveling on any gravel, unless through a parking lot or driveway. We can visit state and national parks, waterfalls, hiking locations, beaches and so much more. Botanical gardens and other special places will require payment per person upon arrival and are extra fees.
