The Luau Experience

The quintessential experience of a Hawaiian luau typically has many exciting events for which to look forward. Usually, guests are greeted with a lei upon arrival, then meet and take a photo with Polynesian dancers and performers before the festivities begin. Guests are taken to their seats where they can relax and enjoy a tropical beverage while the rest of the guests settle in. Shortly after, the iconic roasted kalua pig is removed from the imu, underground oven, and its delicious smell fills the air. Some luaus feature pre-dinner activities like arts and crafts, games, and other entertainment. Food is then served, typically buffet-style, and guests can fill their plates with a variety of traditional Hawaiian cuisine. During and following the feast, live entertainment ensues. Enjoy hula performances, Tahitian dancing, live music, fire knife performances, and all sorts of other thrilling surprises.
