Kauai Luaus Reviews
Sightseeing can also be done in the sky, on the ocean or even in the ocean (in a submarine). We have a lot of tour options to choose from. Take a Pro Photography helicopter tour to spend more time shooting beautiful scenes or choose a thrilling ride like you may have seen in popular shows about Hawaii, including Magnum PI. Go under the sea and visit some shipwrecks or cruise on the ocean at sunset and have a romantic dinner.

The Luau Experience

The quintessential experience of a Hawaiian luau typically has many exciting events for which to look forward. Usually, guests are greeted with a lei upon arrival, then meet and take a photo with Polynesian dancers and performers before the festivities begin. Guests are taken to their seats where they can relax and enjoy a tropical beverage while the rest of the guests settle in. Shortly after, the iconic roasted kalua pig is removed from the imu, underground oven, and its delicious smell fills the air. Some luaus feature pre-dinner activities like arts and crafts, games, and other entertainment. Food is then served, typically buffet-style, and guests can fill their plates with a variety of traditional Hawaiian cuisine. During and following the feast, live entertainment ensues. Enjoy hula performances, Tahitian dancing, live music, fire knife performances, and all sorts of other thrilling surprises.
Choosing the Best Luau for You
With a variety of luaus available to choose from, there is something perfect for everyone. Each luau has the following in common: tasty Hawaiian dishes, enticing hula performances, live music, fire dancing, and an entertaining show. All of the incredible luaus on Kauai listed above are vetted by travelers and Hawaiian residents alike for being both memorable and worthwhile experiences for the whole family. Differences between luaus tend to include whether drinks are included, options for preferred seating, types of food offered, and location on the island. We are happy to answer questions to help you choose the right luau for your group.

Fun Fact

While luaus today are quite the feast, it is said that King Kamehameha III once roasted over 300 pigs for a massive celebration in 1847.

Flower Leis

In ancient Hawai’i, Hawaiians would gift leis to the ali’i, or local chief, to signify their loyalty, love, and respect. Today, leis are made of fresh flowers, shells, nuts, feathers, and braided leaves.

take-note

Hula Language

Before written language, native Hawaiians used hula and its chants to trace and teach younger generations about their shared history, mythology, genealogy, and culture.
